To adjust an itemís quantity and unit cost

If you havenít already read the Inventory Adjustments Overview, see Adjusting item quantities and unit costs for more information.

The Inventory Adjustments window should be displayed.

  1. Enter the number of the item you want to change in the Item Number column on the first blank line in the scrolling list.
  2. In the Quantity field, enter the quantity of the adjustmentónot the new quantity of the item.
  3. When you entered the item number in step 1, the itemís unit cost appeared automatically in the Unit Cost column. Change this amount to $0.00.
Warning: Donít make any changes to the Amount columnItís very important that you donít make changes to the Amount column at this point.
  1. Click Record. The itemís quantity and unit cost will be adjusted in MYOB AccountEdge without affecting the itemís total value.
